Content Creator
Qualifications:
- Experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
- Studying mass communication, marketing, or another related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using content management platform or scheduler
- Understanding of video creation with reels
Wages/Scheduling:
- Work hours will take place between 8am-5pm for collaboration, asking the supervisor questions, and connecting with program area staff
- Schedule can be around courses
- The position is approximately 10 hours a week at $10.50 an hour
Evaluation:
- All Campus Recreation student staff undergo routine evaluations with supervisors as a student development opportunity

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Social Media Contributor is responsible for representing the personality and voice of Campus Recreation through social media platforms. By following our voice
- Is aware of what is happening in our departments and engages with followers
- Collaborates with the Marketing Coordinator to create a social media calendar that is constantly changing and being updated as needs arise
- Able to utilize Meta Business Suite to actively plan and post content to various Facebook and Instagram Additionally, utilize Meta to track statistics of success of posts
- Manage social media platforms using an annual marketing plan and set guidelines: Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Generate buzz and drive website traffic through viral marketing initiatives
- Monitor social media sites, respond to questions, and facilitate conversation rather than messaging with a sales approach
- Take initiative in creating content from researching university and community events, upcoming dates, and being familiar with department staff activities
- Attend student staff meetings and trainings
- Adhere to all University and department guidelines and policies regarding social media

Graphic Designer
Qualifications:
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
- Understanding of print materials including paper products, laminate, etc.
- Must have ability to organize and prioritize multiple design projects at one time and to meet hard deadlines

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with quick turn-around times

Scheduling:
- Routine office hours will be scheduled on weekdays between 8am to 5pm for editing and can be designed around courses. The position offers approximately 10 hours a week.

- All Campus Recreation student staff undergo routine evaluations with supervisors as a student development opportunity. Opportunities will also exist to evaluate upwards on an anonymous basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for conveying visual messages to Texas State University audiences using multiple mediums.
- Provides assistance in designing print, web based media and promotional materials
- Responsible for work requests from start to finish, including sending to print, cutting and laminating
- Design within brand identity guidelines from some projects including use of pre-determined color palettes, templates, fonts, etc.
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, types size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
- Attend routine meetings and collaborate with co-workers
- Adhere to all departmental guidelines and policies

Website Editor
Supervisor:
Marketing Coordinator
Primary Function of Position:
- Design & update information on Campus Recreation websites as requested
- Work with development teams or managers for keeping the site up-to-date and prioritizing needs, among other tasks
- Ensure all sites are in compliance with TXST design standards and are ADA accessible
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Up to date with the latest web and email trends, techniques, and technologies with a passion to learn and use new skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team with excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Execute additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Majoring in mass communications or related field
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with multiple constituents
- Strong people skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Basic knowledge of GA4 and backend development preferred
Wages/Scheduling:
Routine office hours will be scheduled on weekdays between 8am to 5pm for collaborating. The position offers approximately 10 hours a week at $10.50 an hour. Training on GATO (Texas State’s website management system) and other Texas State specific software will be provided.
Evaluation:
All Campus Recreation student staff undergo routine evaluations with supervisors as a student development opportunity. Opportunities will also exist to evaluate upwards. Two long semesters worked with positive evaluations could result in a .25 wage increase.

Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding of photography
- Strong background with computer programs and editing platforms
- Strong ability to set priorities and manage workflow to fulfill objectives and goals according to deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Comfortable working with clients in a positive manner
- Strong communication skills and trustworthiness to work outside of the office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turn-around times
- Studying mass communication, communication design, marketing, or another related field
Wages/Scheduling:
- Some work hours will take place between 8am-5pm for collaboration, asking the supervisor questions, and connecting with program area staff
- This position requires attending Campus Rec property and events on evenings and weekends to obtain footage from events
- Schedule can be around courses
- The position is approximately 10 hours a week at $10.50 an hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assumes responsibility for taking pictures to showcase Campus Recreation activities and events
- Transport, set up, and operate various equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones
• Import, cull, and edit photos after shoots
- Edit footage to produce stylized visuals and compelling stories that represent Campus Recreation and convey our brand
- Ability to be artistic while at the same time creating professional photos
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and other work-related meetings

Promotional Assistant
Primary Function of Position:
Promotional Assistants post flyers and signage around campus, table at weekly events, represent Campus Recreation at various campus events, promote our programs and services in a personable and fun demeanor. They assist in the preparation of print media and promotional items. They must be aware of all program areas to help answer questions.Qualifications:
- Comfortable initiating face-to-face conversation with diverse populations
- Creative idea generator and implementer

- Energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Seeking a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or related field
- Experience in creating marketing materials & e-marketing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote department and program activities at approved campus locations and within department facilities
- Prepare, set up, work, and clean up at special events and fairs
- Prepare and provide presentations on Campus Recreation offerings and benefits
- Contribute to and keep Calendar of Events organized and up to date
- Adhere to University and Department branding and style guidelines
- Manage the printing of and posting of flyers and postings within Campus Recreation facilities as well as various buildings on campus
- Maintain inventory of promotion items
Wages/Scheduling:
Routine office hours will be scheduled on weekdays between 8AM to 5PM for editing and can be designed around courses. The position offers approximately 10 hours a week at $10.00 an hour. Occasional Saturday obligations will occur.
